A friend was writing a book and asked if I would do the book cover for her. She gave me a picture of her dog named Henrietta jumping and chasing a butterfly. It was a pleasure working on this project for her. It was also fun for me because I also had a black dog named Henrietta growing up. Check out Wandering Words: A Walk from A-Z by Gail Boenning.

This baby blanket was a commissioned project using crazy quilt blocks that had been made by a neighbor’s grandmother many, many years prior. I took the quilt blocks and extra bits of fabric to assemble the quilt top. I then quilted, bound it and added a label with the quilt’s story and who it was for. I enjoy finishing textiles so people can enjoy connections with their past and put the unfinished projects to use at long last.
