Drawing Amsterdam Dailies, Day 175. 175 seems like a significant enough marker to talk behind the scenes with my dailies again.
So...this is a project I dreamed up because of a trip I took to Amsterdam in 2019. I drew a lot while there and took a lot of pictures to draw from later. Since I’m a bit fan of the creative process and doing things bit by bit, I started this project where I try to show up daily and spend 30 minutes drawing or painting on a picture. I’m also trying to use my photos in chronological order as much as possible.
My drawing time today has finished up the inking of these houses. Ink washes coming up next. The only color I may add is a leafy vine climbing up and around the doorway of the middle house.
And in these 175 days, only 6 hours have passed in real life since I arrived at the train station! Slow motion trip here! 😁
